My obsessions part 1

Yes, I will dedicate this post to my current and most recent obsession :)

Actors from Great Britain :)

Yes, dearly beloved, that means from Scotland, England and Wales :)

It really all started after I finished watching “Thor”(2011), and noticed the actor playing Loki. I thought he was extremely good and portayed Loki beautifully and I knew I needed more info on the man :)  Tom Hiddleston, is now forever tattooed in my brain! Since then, I started becoming more interested in British plays, tv-shows and movies. And I’m not disappointed. I realized all the stuff he’s been in and mentally slapped myself as I noticed that some of the movies were movies I’d seen before. HOW do you watch a movie with Tom Hiddleston in and not think he’s awesome?!

It was then I also noticed he’d worked with Kenneth Branaugh. No, I’m not gonna talk an awful lot about Branaugh„ yet! I then started looking for the TV-show Wallander, which they both were in. I couldn’t find any of the episodes, and it annoyed me to no end! But then one day, staying up late with my mom, I switch the TV on and who do I see? Mr. Hiddleston AND Mr. Branaugh being all detective-like in Wallander!! OMG my life has been saved!! But then I realized the crappy hour and thought„ ‘Well, this certainly suck..’

Then came the era of the X-Men: First Class movie. Now, I’ve never really like Xavier to begin with, I mean, he’s an important person and definately plays a big role in the stories. But he’s kinda boring, I thought! Now don’t misunderstand me! I like him as a character, because he’s so awesome and actually wants world peace„ but he’s so boring… But then came X-Men: First Class, and then came young Charles Xavier, and then came James McAvoy :)

I love this guy! He’s so funny and so„ normal! Plus, his accent is to die for;)! Also, as I watched him, I realized ‘I’ve seen this guy before.. where have I seen this guy before?’. And then my younger sister came in and asked if I wanted to watch Narnia with her. It was then I realized: (lighbulb an’ all) Mr.Tumnus! OMG!Now, it’s totally not wierd that I had a crush on the faun when I was younger…

Ah, that was good to get off my chest :)

othello (kyaa!)

Long time no see!

(BTW Very happy holidays to all! Hope you had a great one!!)

I recently (following my Tom Hiddleston-trip) had an obsession with Shakespeare(and Wallander, which I just found out aired on danish television at shitty hours,,,damn)… don’t ask!

And being slightly autistic, I just had to gather everything I could to satisfy my hunger for the time being. So I researched a bit and finally found out that there was an audio file on the internet with the whole play (yes, the whole 2.5 hours). Even though it wasn’t the actual play (visual and all) it was still so great. And because I’m not native english or american, I realized that having the script on the side wasn’t a bad idea :) It really helped also with distinguishing the actors/characters from each other ;) Though long, it was definately worth it :) I love Ewan McGregor’s Iago, (and of course Tom Hiddleston’s Cassio)

Also, following that obsession, I knew I had to have more :) So I found these guys: The Reduced Shakespeare Company. They’re hysterically funny! You can find it anywhere on youtube, just type in “RSC” in the search and then it’ll suggest a play they’ve done :) It’s fantastic!

On a completely other note (now for something completely different):

My sister and her boyfriend has come over for the christmas days :) So we were watching Austin Powers on the TV and the part just before the hostage hold up (Dr. Evil’s got Venessa and Austin’s got Scott), there’s this little bit were Dr. Evil’s calling for his cat using a commercial jingle for the catfood he’s holding. Suddenly, sis’ boyfriend starts singing the jingle along with Dr. Evil xD

There was just these 2 seconds of silence following that and the entire family just about died laughing!! Partly because sis’ boyfriend always seems so serious (he’s hysterically funny when he wants to be but,, :/)!
